About the Training

The standards provide clear learning progressions for English Language Arts skills across all grade levels. These skills, along with the writing process, must be aligned school-wide. Participants in this series will examine the standards and create instructional sequences for writing by determining: What is the criteria for each writing type according to the standards? How do we develop a standards-based writing prompt that integrates Close Reading? How do we use student writing products to inform future instruction?
