Secondary Math Instructional Coach

This is a full-time, salaried position that includes a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision and 401K. Salary will be determined based on experience.

Description:
Math Instructional Coaches are responsible for delivery of professional development of standards-based lessons, research-based instructional strategies, and educational best practices to secondary (grades 6 to 12) Math teachers.
Duties include:

  • Presenting professional development to a variety of group sizes (from one-on-one to over 75)
  • Delivering in-classroom demonstration lessons to all types of students
  • Co-planning lessons with teachers
  • Co-teaching lessons with teachers
  • Conducting meetings

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience teaching mathematics (must include experience with Geometry and Algebra II)
  • California Teaching Credential
  • Special Education Credential preferred
  • Willingness to travel (including overnight travel)
  • Presentation experience at school site or conferences preferred
  • Experience working with students with disabilities a plus
